Nothing happening today would surprise George Orwell who was born 110 years ago yesterday. We in Britain are no living in a police state like under the Gestapo and the Stasi. Why did we bother fighting in 1939? The whole nightmare scenario has got completely out of control. These malevolent police tactics have undermined the democratic process. William Hague's assurance that its all ok as it happens under the - rule of law is total nonsense and he knows it. The German government and many other governments across the free world are incensed by these arbitrary intrusions. Why have we connived in this with the US? What has David Cameron got to say on the issue?
