Too little too late.

The rushed visit of diplomacy of Merkel and Hollande to Moscow is 'too little to late' as the fat is is the fire is Eastern Ukraine. The fighting in the region is also seen as a proxy war that could engulf both Moscow and Washington. Putin has serious economic problems at home with the fall in the oil price. Putin is fearful that unless he is sabre rattling he will have even more domestic problems. So what next in this black hole of politics? The fear is that this proxy war will escalate as Putin fears that unless he shows to be powerful his own power base will be erode. Obama on the other hand want to leave some sort of legacy as he enters the home straight. As the Middle East goes up in smoke with the butchers IS on their murderous passage the world is increasingly ill at ease with its self. We are living in increasingly uncertain times.
