The Interview.

What is wrong with North Korea that the film The Interview has caused such angst? Its as we know about the fictional killing of the dear leader Kim Jong un. Sony Pictured were so concerned by their horrifying threats that they pulled the distribution of the film as the owners of chains of cinemas across the US would not show the dastardly movie. Now the independent cinemas have taken up the challenge and have greatly benefit at the box office. Obama was very critical of Sony for being so weak keened. So what have were learnt about this fiasco? Firstly when it comes to the bottom line big business is more concerned about this than the importance of - freedom of speech. Its not an absolute right by a relative one. It should not take us by surprise as Hollywood is a place dedicated to the superficial and transient. If in the UK we stopped satirists, lampoonist and generally scalawags from taking a pop at the Queen we would live if a very dull and boring place, just like North Korea. The writers life Swift, Pope, Hislop and many others besides would all be clapped in the Clink with quick dispatch.
