Professor Noam Chomsky.

On Wednesday evening Professor Noam Chomsky was on Newsnight he still ranks as one of the worlds leading public international intellectual - despite being now 85. Chomsky rails at the leaders of the world for their collective myopic attitude to the central issues that befall us all. He claims that 1% of the rich and wealthy have their policies implemented by the various governments across the world. This rich plutocracy kleptocracy have more that their fair share of goods and services. They pervert the democratic process to serve their nefarious ends. We see this in particular in the US and UK where these parasitic bandits steal from the poor to enrich themselves. This is Robin Hood in reverse. How have these two advanced capitalists countries stolen this wealth and arrogated it to themselves - its a miasma? The stench is overwhelming from the pile rotting corpses they are responsible for.
Chomsky said all this back in the 1960's when the US was in Vietnam. I first came across his writings in the autumn of 1966 when I went up to Cambridge to visit friends. As a rhetorician he has no peer - he now stands alone like Daniel in the lions den. We will regret his parting when we realise we did not listen to this Homeric herald as he crosses the fateful Rubicon. More shame on us.
