Cameron in Kabul to say goodbye.
Cameron has decided to say goodbye to our troops in Afghanistan who will be leaving by the end of the year for a 'job well done'. The troops have no doubt done the best they can under very trying circumstances, but he fell short of saying 'mission accomplished'. We went there back in 2011 shortly after the US and the attack of 9/11 in NY. Having a teleological approach is best under these conditions is necessary. The understandably rage and anger in the US was noted by all, but was bombing and putting boots on the ground in Afghanistan the answer? The ideas couldn't be traced to that quarter and it would have been better to put the estimated cost of over $1 trillion with the War on Terror to better use? The consequences of the illegal invasion of Iraq are with us today. IS have been killing at will across Syrian and Iraq - so no one can claim success - unless your are that criminal morally bankrupt politician Tony Blair. How does he sleep at night?
