Ed Miliband as the future prime minister.

For the first time today I saw a possibility of Ed Miliband the Labour Party leader as a prime minister for Britain. I should as they say declare an interest - I was taught by his father when I was at the London School of Economics Ralph Miliband - he was an outstanding teacher and polymath. Ed Miliband's interview on the Andrew Marr show today was 'compelling' in its honesty. He addressed the issues that preoccupy the bulk of the population - how to pay the bills, will I have a job, what are the prospects for my children, the state of schools and the health the service? He was asked what is the underpinning philosopher his answer was 'make the country work for the many and not just for the very few at the top'. This is in my opinion a winning formula and bodes well for the General Election in May 2015 - if he can that message heard over the general cacophony of the right wing  media. This concept re- frames the debate to 'ends and means'! This opens up the democratic process to all citizens as we all 'have a dog in this fight' - so to speak. Moreover his idea of having a public prime ministers 'question time' on a regular basis that will hold the PM to account that is not just the weekly 'Punch and Judy' that we have today in the House of Commons. This innovative concept puts the House of Commons and the British public back in a position of power holding the head of their government to account.  This will 'revitalize the public debate' for all including politicians. I look forward to the next ten months before May 2015 and what happens next?
