There is an interesting - sociological changing of the old political guard happening on both sides of the pond. In America for the first time we have a black/indian woman politician seeking to be president. Kamala Harris, is on the ticket for the Democratic Party - in the November election. Here we have an election going on for the leadership of the Conservative Party. The current front runner is a black politician Kemi Badenoch, her parents were from Nigeria although she was born in England. The pundits tip her to win - in fact I've placed a bet for her to come top of the poll in November. So from the autumn we could have witnessed - a seismic political change - so fundamental to both our political systems and landscape. As chairman Mao, famously said many years ago "we live in interesting times".
