The male crisis.

There was a report on Tuesday about the increasing incidence of attacks on women and girls. These include things like: stalking, domestic violence, child abuse and rape. Why such dramatic increases? It's obviously a complex social issue, that has a number of causes. However I would suggest the one outstanding contribution is a failure in the - role of the father. With the breakdown of family life - men play a more distant relationship with their children and especially to their sons. If they go on the form new families, then that distance could increase. When I worked in adult and child psychiatry in the NHS and in private practice - this was an underpinning problem. Ensuring the father remained engaged with his children was the - sine qua non - for success. Unfortunately that's why people like Andrew Tate, are exploiting this crisis. Unless we address this cardinal social policy issue, things won't improve.
