Happy bunnies.

Would you Adam and Eve it - we OAP Brits are one of the happiest groups in the EU with an overall rating of 7.5 out of 10 and come in sixth. We are much happier than our cousins in France, Germany, Italy and Spain, but not as happy as those in Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark and the Netherlands. The Bulgarian are the least happy with at 4.8 out of 10. The happiness data was compiled by Eurostat over the last few months. The survey was of some 366,650 across the EU. The reasons we are happier is that we as an older generation tend to complain less and be thankful for our lot in life. Moreover we in the UK have a free NHS, free bus travel, free TV licence if over 75. So life is pretty good if your healthy. In addition if you have close and good relationships with friends and family this is also a great advantage. The biggest issue for the elderly is loneliness and isolation - for my part I could not be happier. I have good health, work as a volunteer for the National Trust, Royal Academy and am a local Parish Councillor. So all in all life is pretty good for me.
