Eight weeks to go before the General Election.
We are almost in the home stretch for the election in eight weeks time on the 7 May. The latest result by Lord Ashcroft give the Tories 34%, Labour 30% UKip on 15% the rest are the also rans. There will be no clear overall majority that allows one of the two leading parties to form a government. There will much horse trading after the results come in. I cannot remember a time in recent history when its - too close to call. My own view is the the Tories will form the minority government propped up again by the Lib/Dems. They will do much better that predicted because where they are popular and will get the votes out. It will then by a hard slog before we go again in May 2020. Labour will then ditch Ed Miliband and elect Yvette Cooper as leader with Chuka Umanna as her deputy. He will be the first leading black politician to make it to the very top of the greasy poll. Hopefully by 2020 they will then have a winning team to set things straight. It a long time to wait.
