Turkey goes back to the dark ages.

The president accuses women of not valuing motherhood and apple pie and blames this on radical feminists who devalue that role is society. This is the latest misogynistic attack on the emancipation of women from the Garden of Eden on wards. They are blamed for all the world's ills. How is possible in the 21st century to have such antediluvian ideas about women? Ever since my attending the launch of  Spare Rib back in 1972 there has to my knowledge been a remorseless vituperation of their role and place in this society. What is wrong with men and their paternalistic attitudes? Fear is the answer and their loss of power over women. They have lost that traditional role and feel impotent and redundant as a result. Moreover the are doing less well in education, the professions including medicine etc. But these male dinosaurs have only themselves to blame for the crisis and dilemma. Until men in general and sons are made to feel better about their roles their self esteem with be eroded. Its no good always blaming women for this.
