The Royal Drawing School.

The Prince of Wales is a painter and he also loves drawing his father is someone who enjoys painting. So its not surprising that he should lend his support to this distinguished school that has been running for a number of years. There are post-graduate courses up to MA level and a plethora of other courses to accommodate to all various levels of skill and enthusiasm. Just the other day Fraser Nelson the editor of the Spectator was complaining that there are insufficient people in the business of drawing good well crafted cartoon. The cartoonist has so have a an understanding of the political world combined with the ability to draw in a convincing manner with satire and skulduggery. This skill he claimed is being lost. We have in this country a long history of fine cartoonist that we are in danger of loosing to posterity. Some years ago the Cartoon Museum was opened in London to celebrate the history of Gillray, Vicky, Brookes et al. Lets hope the www.royaldrawingschool.org will address this imbalance.
