Not willing to change.

The ultra-conservative reactionary Catholic church is not prepared to move on issues that preoccupy many of the faith. The Pope who is attempting to nudge this ossified moribund system into life has not had the miracle that it so needs. The forces of reaction are to the fore. Why have they succeeded? There reason is that it would mean giving up some power over their flock which they don't wish to do. Its akin to the communist in the Kremlin or the Chinese Communist party of old men who are impotent making themselves feel potent and important. These paternalists systems that hate women are similar to the Taliban or IS. Why are men so insecure?
