A massacre that is little reported.

For fear of imprisonment in modern day Turkey and  member of Nato and hoping one day to join democratic states in the European Union (EU). This country is very coy about a terrible massacre committed in the early part of 1918. During the dying days of the Ottoman Empire and the First World War it is estimated that some 275,000 to 3000,000 where put to the knife of bullet. This unlucky ethnic group were the Assyrians. The International Association of Genocide Scholars (IAGAS) reported in 2007 that this might be an underestimate. An eye witness who managed to escape these heinous crimes of butchering and murder was the Rev John Eshoo. His accounts are so graphic and disturbing they a beyond cruelty. Its impossible to raise this political issue in any quarter in Turkey. The EU and Nato never say a thing to find out the truth. Now with the breakdown of law and order across the Middle East the likelihood of any court coming to a decision becomes even more a distant possibility.
