The Paralypmics.

I don't know about you, but I'm a bit saturated with sport at the moment. However the opening ceremony last night was a - tour de force - of panache and excellence. I can only wonder at the achievement of the athletes, that despite so many personal ordeals, they have managed to achieve so much. It makes me thankful for what I have, and determined to ensure that I keep myself well and healthy, by exercise and good diet etc.
I had a lovey day with my daughter yesterday - we went to Bexhill-on-Sea to see the Richard Wilson exhibition at the De la Warr Pavilion http://www.dlwp.com/ it was very interesting. We had an excellent lunch at a super restaurant the -Trattoria Italiana - just off the main drag - we had pasta vongole. Our favourite Italian meal. Then off to Hastings to the Jerwood Gallery, on the front http://www.jerwoodgallery.org/ to see the Garry Hume exhibition. Hume is a member of the YBA's group of avant-garde artists. Another enjoyable show. It rained - cats and dogs - so we scuttled off back to Sevenoaks after having a lovely pot of tea and biscuits in the Jerwood Cafe.
