The growing crisis in the Church of England.

There is increasing pressure on the Archbishop of York - Stephen Cottrell, to resign. When he was bishop of Chelmsford, he turned a blind eye to indecent assault allegations - on a number of young women by David Tudor. Moreover he promoted him to a more senior role. Tudor was only banned from ministry some two months ago - after having admitted to historic sexual abuse allegations against two women. The Church of England is in a serious mess, similar to the Catholic Church a few years ago. There is the real possibility of dis-establishment of the church - as its place in modern Britain seems increasingly outdated and antediluvian. Credibility has been sacrificed - I cannot see it recovering from this.
