For whom the bell tolls.

The presidential race in November is causing great anxiety in the Democratic Party. Is Joe Biden, an asset or a liability? Since his disastrous CNN television appearance almost two weeks ago - where he lost his train of thought and looked confused and elderly - speculation has increased about whether he is up to running again? He is 81, but appears much older and infirm. Can he last the race until November? Getting him to stand down is now very late in the day and who would replace him? The vice president Kamala Harris, isn't that inspiring, but at least she isn't infirm and can string a whole sentence together. Perhaps the Biden family can persuade him to stand down - and let a more unconvincing candidate to take over? The NATO 75th anniversary summit is taking place in America and Biden is the host. The bell is tolling for Biden.
