Research by the Liberal Democrats, showed that one in seven who were unable to get a GP appointment, decided to treat themselves or got someone to treat them. This was a poll of some 2,226 adults across the UK - found that 30% gave up despite being in pain. There is a serious crisis in the health services. We know it's almost impossible to see a dentist in some poor parts of the country, unless you go private and many have resorted to pulling out their own teeth. Good dentistry is absolutely necessary for good public health. It's the - sine qua non of a proper functioning national dental service. Regrettably we do not have a functioning NHS service as the Conservatives have since 2010 - hollowed out a once national treasure. In 2012 at the London Olympics, we collectively celebrated with pride, but not any longer. What a tragedy for all - unless you are rich and can go private as many Conservatives MP's do - including Rishi Sunak. I rest my case.
