The home secretary Suella Braverman, is causing a proper stink down at the Palace of Varieties, with her latest - ex cathedral utterances. In particular having a go at the commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, in London regarding a planned march on Saturday. An important touchstone of a functioning democracy, is the separation of powers, the commissioner has exclusive responsibility for operational police policy. The home secretary can ask him/her for a private discussion, but hitherto it's been kept private, but not with Braverman. She has dumped that policy with alacrity. Rishi Sunak, doesn't have the balls to sack her. Under normal circumstances she would have been sacked a long time ago, but Sunak, knows she speaks for the extreme right of the Conservatives. She has the predilection of throwing more petrol on the fire. She is also on - manoeuvres, for leading the nasty party, as Theresa May, famously said years ago.
