Last night Elton John was the closing act at Glastonbury - he said this would be his last show in the UK. Thankfully it was a smash hit and the crowds loved him. Few have such a great back catalogue better than him and many of his greatest hits were played. Given his age of 76 this was a remarkable achievement of energy and passion. I first went to Glastonbury back in the autumn of 1970, when it was just two men and a dog. I had a friend who lived in Pilton and knew Michael Eavis, so invited me down to the very first Glastonbury. How life and times have moved on, but the spirit of Glastonbury continues - may it do so for many years to come.
