Gerry Adams to meet Prince Charles.

In 1979 the IRA murdered Lord Mountbatten in Northern Ireland. Today the President of Sinn Fein - the political wing of the IRA - Gerry Adams will meet Prince Charles. This follows the meeting a few years ago of the Queen and Martin McGuinness the one time member of the IRA Army Council. As was said sagaciously by Lord Palmerston the Victorian Prime Minister "countries don't have friends only interests". This coming together of deadly old foes makes this statement a reality. Its difficult to imagine this ever happening given all the troubles there have been between these two islands over many hundreds of years. Moreover Price Charles in the Colonel in Chief of the Parachute regiment that caused so many killings and atrocities in Ireland against the IRA. There is also the infamous Bloody Sunday massacre. What will they talk about? Perhaps the new Princess Charlotte or about Prince George?
