Down at the Palace of Varieties.
It was Punch and Judy time at the Palace of verities yesterday. At Prime Ministers question time it was packed as Ed Miliband took on the PM. It was that old grudge playground fight between Eton and Haverstock. The fight was bloody and at times nasty to witness - there was now blood on the canvas. The referee a Mr Bercow was not happy with a number of punches by Cameron that were below the belt. The fight continued with their respective teams of supporters baying for more blood. Who was the winner? I think Miliband won on points, but there was no knock-out blow. Cameron was dazed and befuddled. This was the oldest democracy in action. What would other political systems make of it all?
